Please join VTA for our annual advocacy day at Virginia's Capitol. We will begin the day with a meeting led by state transit and rail policy leaders; coffee and light breakfast will be provided. Following the briefing, our members and advocates will spend the day "on the Hill" meeting with their representatives and sharing their local legislative priorities. We will wrap up the day with the Big BBQ Bash reception at Main Street Station with over 300 legislators, transit industry professionals and decision-makers from across the Commonwealth.

Suggested hotels in order of distance from the Capitol building:

TRANSIT: GRTC is fare-free and can be used to navigate downtown between hotels, legislative buildings and the reception. All locations are within a half mile. Download Transit App to navigate the system, plan your trip and track the bus.
We suggest attendees use the GRTC Pulse BRT line from Government Center to Main Street Station for transportation between events. PARKING: Utilize your hotel's parking services or use Parkopedia to find nearby paid lots. Do not rely on street parking since it's time-limited.
